NEIGHBORS

• OCTOBER 15, 2016

Perspective matters. We go about our daily lives with little attention given to the things we see everyday. This repetition desensitizes us to the hidden beauty seen in your neighborhood, the street you walk on, or the people you wave to. This exhibit intends to touch upon the rich and vibrant neighborhood in San Francisco coined, the "Tenderloin”. We cannot remove the very bold and gritty nature of the ‘Loin and it’s residents, but we can help pedestrians understand that there’s a beauty in its natural state and that all it requires is a different perspective - a line of sight provided by photographers with a progressive eye for beauty. Let's discover new neighbors by recognizing the familiar. Let's explore pockets of San Francisco’s Tenderloin and demonstrate that our perspective changes everything. Come explore with us.

MORE ALIKE THAN WE ARE DIFFERENT

• April 8, 2016 •

The journeys of Umar, Cesar, and Milton - better known as Tailored Heritage, are deep-rooted in family values. Their journey has been filled with joy, tribulations, and important lessons based around progression. Their constant hardships are overcome with the support of those closest to them, their family. Follow the narratives of these first-generation Americans and the sacrifices their ancestors made in hopes of finding opportunity. In celebration of Mother’s Day, come and view the portraits of their mothers, vintage family artifacts and intimate setting and cuisine shots.  See how we are all more alike than we are different.
